TV Braun tube
--- Temporary binder for fluorescent pigment (phosphors) in TV Braun tube

PVA-224 is the most suitable grade used in this application. It is intended for use as a temporary binder for fluorecent pigments (phosphors) in color TV picture tubes.
The remarkable advantage of PVA-224 is its light-sensitivity when being dichromated. The dichromated PVA-224 is extremely sensitive to light and could reduce minimun exposure time required for solid image formation to about 70 - 80% of that of conventional method. PVA-224 has complete adhesion of the coating to the glass plate. The insolubilized film of PVA-224 exposed to light does hardly sbsorb into water and parts are clearly washed off with water remaining sharply etched line.
